After almost three years, we are sad to be saying goodbye to our Innovation Director, Nuala Foley. Having been with the centre from the very beginning, Nuala has been instrumental in developing Future Space into the thriving community we have today and has undoubtedly made a huge impact on our tenants during her time leading our business support activities. Nuala wanted to share the following with our customers and partners:
“I leave Future Space with so many wonderful memories and can honestly say it really has been a 1st class three (almost) years. I moved over from Northern Ireland on a Sunday evening and by the next morning was working in this wonderful space. All of my trepidations turned to excitement very quickly when I realised just what a great place Future Space was going to be, and when I started to get to work with all of our great companies. The inspiring ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and generosity of support which I have seen in so many of you has never ceased to amaze and delight me over and over during my time here. I have no doubt that this will continue and I will always enjoy reading and hearing about your successes. A little part of me will always be in Future Space and in Bristol
I am taking a new role working for an Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) based in Kent Surrey and Sussex as their Industry Engagement Manager. In my new role I will be supporting tech and life science companies to navigate their way through entering into the NHS and supporting the AHSN to seek out innovation through connecting with industry. If I can ever be of help to any of you then please do get in touch.”
As sad as we are to see Nuala move on, we are also delighted to be welcoming our new Innovation Director to the team to continue to support the Future Space family. Laura Stevens joins us with a wealth of experience and a bundle of enthusiasm and is really looking forward to get started in the next couple of weeks. Excitingly, the role is also being expanded to a full-time position letting us grow the scale and scope of support available to our community. Once Laura has her feet under the table, we will organise one of our famous Q&A’s to let you all get to know her a bit better!
