Aligning Interests: Lessons from the world of Private Equity
Tim Parker (@PostOffice), Chairman of the Post Office, will deliver a lecture as part of the Bristol Distinguished Address Series entitled ‘Aligning Interests: Lessons from the world of Private Equity.’
One of the advantages of the private equity model of ownership is that management team of an investment are offered a stake in the business. This leads a direct alignment of interest between investors and managers. The private equity model has proved extremely successful for investors and my intention is to explore it in more depth, and to look at examples of other organizations in the public and private sectors that might benefit from better alignment of interest between managers, funders and consumers.
