Health Technology Hub Fiesta

October 17, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

We would be delighted if you could join us to celebrate the achievements of the Health Technology Hub and gain an insight into how businesses have been supported to develop their products and new technology solutions to promote health and wellbeing. The afternoon will give an insight into the activities of the Health Technology Hub through a programme of short talks followed by networking and celebratory “nibbles”.  The short talks will include presentations from the Health Technology Hub and the West of England Academic Health Science Network, giving an over view of the multiple strands of aid offered to companies and introducing a new programme of business support called the Health Technology Accelerator Programme.  How the Health Tech Hub works with SME’s will be exemplified through a number of vignettes from companies that have already been helped in their product development.  Following the short talks there will be an opportunity to visit the Health Tech Hub to see the range of laboratories and workshops that support product development.  The presentations will be “Toped and tailed” by two keynote presentations from Sir Ian Carruthers and Professor Steve West giving the wider context of the importance of health technology development both nationally and in the West of England.
