Helpathon: keeping people out of hospital

How can Tech Enabled Care (TEC) support hospital admission avoidance and discharging people safely?

Bringing together innovators from industry and academia, to work with healthcare professionals and council leaders to identify Tech Enabled Care (TEC) solutions to overcome challenges in two areas:

1. How can we use technology to help us match capacity and demand, focussing on new models of care outside of hospital and reducing hospital stays?

2. How can we optimise technology to support people in home and community settings through improving workforce efficiency and self-management?

We will focus on prevention, avoiding hospital admissions, new models of home support and helping people to stay well and independent.

NB This is an invitation only event to ensure that we achieve a good mix of attendees from industry, Integrated Care Boards, County Councils, GPs and other health care professionals who are seeking solutions to the above challenges. We ask that organisations limit attendees to one person per company or one division within a larger organisation.

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (BNSSG ICS), supported by the West of England Academic Health Science Network and the University of West of England (UWE) will be exploring this question in our Helpathon at Future Space Bristol on 23rd February.

The BNSSG system is a NHSE accelerator site for digital health and social care and, through their local authorities, have a number of TEC projects in progress.
