Flexys is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr David Scholefield to the role of Chief Operating Officer. David moves from his current role as Chief Information Security Officer and takes up his new role with immediate effect.
David’s appointment is the first in a series of vital new management roles in Flexys soon to be joined by a Chief Financial Officer, a Chief Revenue Officer and an additional non-executive board advisor.
CEO, Jon Hickman welcomed Dr Scholefield to his new role and commented: “David is a well-respected leader with exceptional analytical, practical and communication skills. He will lead our delivery and service teams and guide our day to day operation through this period of significant growth, ensuring that the needs of our clients and the needs of the business are in alignment. About Dr David Scholefield:
David has a background in academia, lecturing in computing and mathematics at the University of York. He moved into a career in software development founding an internet startup in the early 90s just as the internet was beginning to emerge as a world-changing technology. Since then, David has worked in senior positions and consultative roles concentrating on developing processes and systems that have been instrumental in supporting organisational change and growth.
David has worked with organisations as diverse as Boots, ABN Amro, Lotus Cars, MessageLabs, CSC, Vodafone, and Toshiba. David brings decades of practical and creative operational experience to bear in this vital role. In his role as CISO at Flexys, David was instrumental in the organisation achieving and renewing its certification against the standards of ISO 27001.
