Bristol, UK — 3rd December 2025

Future Space, UWE Bristol’s multi-award-winning innovation centre for high-tech businesses, has today announced the launch of free Experience Days — a new way for prospective companies to discover everything Future Space offers in one immersive visit.
The move comes as Future Space enters an exciting year, with 2026 set to be its most ambitious chapter yet. Sitting at the heart of the University of the West of England’s innovation ecosystem, Future Space will be expanding its programmes, strengthening university partnerships, and unlocking more support for trailblazing startups solving real-world challenges.
The new Experience Day invites founders to spend a day inside the centre, getting hands-on insight into the community and support available. Attendees will receive:
- Access to the shared networking and collaboration areas for the day
- A tour of our workspace options, be it labs, offices or workshop facilities
- A personalised 1:1 business support session with the Innovation team
- A coffee with the Centre Director, a chance to explore the full pathway of university collaboration
This “try before you join” approach aligns to Future Space’s commitment to demystifying university–partnered innovation and opening access to the region’s world-leading R&D capabilities.

A Major Strategic Step for 2026
The launch of Experience Days comes at a moment of development for Future Space, with a series of new initiatives rolling out in 2026, including:
- The NatWest-funded Product Programme for early-stage hardware founders, backed by UWE Innovation Vouchers to accelerate product development.
- A funded internship guarantee, offering every new resident company a fully-funded 8-week UWE-funded intern.
- Expanded 1:1 business support, including marketing, IP, finance and risk specialists, plus access to The Wire — Oxford Innovation Space’s national support platform.
- A new university facilities access model, giving businesses pathways into UWE’s testing spaces and prototyping equipment.
- A first-of-its-kind MBA partnership with UWE Bristol Business School, placing every learner inside a Future Space company to drive live strategy and innovation projects.
Together, these initiatives position Future Space as one of the UK’s most integrated university-partnered innovation centres.
Quote from Professor Matt Freeman, Centre Director, Future Space:
“2026 is about unlocking the full power of being a university-partnered innovation centre. Founders don’t just get workspace here — they get access to research, talent, facilities and the kind of hands-on support that accelerates real-world impact. Our new Experience Days let prospective businesses see that for themselves. Spend a day here and you’ll immediately understand what makes Future Space different: everything you need to build, test and scale your innovation, all working together as one engine for growth.”
