High-flying bionics company Open Bionics has relocated to new offices in Bristol city centre from its base here at Future Space as its life-changing technology continues to go global.
Founded in 2014, the company has been based with us for over three years, designing and engineering the next generation of accessible bionic limbs, including the ‘Hero Arm’, the world’s first clinically approved 3D-printed bionic arm.
Promising to turn disabilities into superpowers, Open Bionics has developed an impressive partnership with Disney to make science fiction a reality for children with limb differences and design a range of Hero Arm covers from the Frozen, Marvel and Star Wars universes.
At the start of the year, the bionics company landed a multi-million-pound investment deal to expand its business across the world which has enabled Open Bionics to serve amputees and people with limb differences in various markets across Europe and also in the USA.
Open Bionics has become one of the many undisputed success stories for us at Future Space, utilising our range of commercial business support services designed to encourage the commercial growth of our resident businesses.
