Experts discuss what makes Bristol a city of pioneering innovation. How do we ensure a fair, inclusive, and thriving innovation ecosystem?

This free event is being hosted by the Bristol Innovators’ Group (BIG), in partnership with Future Space.

This session will focus on how to make change happen in neighbourhoods, communities, and cities.

As of 2008, for the first time in human history on our planet, we have more people living in cities than rural areas. Sustainable urban living is a key challenge for our century, and this means residents working with city institutions.

We must work together to support pioneering innovation and experimentation. We’ll discuss international and local examples of action that makes lives better for people living and working in neighbourhoods and cities.

• Robin Hambleton, author of Leading the Inclusive City, and of Cities and communities beyond COVID-19.
• Knowle West Media Centre – home to Bristol’s Living Lab for creating and testing new ideas in the city – will be sharing examples of their current work.
